What is this feature for
The implementation of the Schedule Indicator seeks to attend the demand of users who wish to metrify project or activity deliveries. The analysis of this indicator is performed through the deviations in days from the conclusion of the milestones that feed the indicator, from the date that the delivery had been planned. With this, it is possible to monitor and measure the timeline of important indicators. It is an indicator focused on deliveries and the analysis is focused on the date of these deliveries.
Profiles the have permission for this feature
To create a Schedule Indicator is necessary to have permission to edit in the management unit.
Adding a new indicator
To create a new Schedule indicator, it is necessary to access the Corporate Performance module in the KPIs or Spreadsheet view.
To add it, just click on the add indicators button and then select the "Schedule" option. The indicator is created in a unique way, that is, it is not possible to add the same Schedule indicator to another management unit. It can be copied or transferred through the options present in the Spreadsheet and KPIs view.
Some information to be filled is the same as for other types of indicators, being mandatory to fill in the fields "Indicator" (This will be the name of the Schedule indicator and there cannot be another with the same name in the Management Unit), "Indicator type" and "Results Area".
At this point, another difference in the Schedule indicator is the choice of a Score Range that should be selected to create the indicator. To learn more about Score Range, read the article about it.
After filling in the previous information, it is possible to save the indicator or Save and add milestones. Milestones are similar to tasks, but with a single execution. They are responsible for determining the values that will be posted to the KPIs and the Spreadsheet.
In the creation of the milestones, just inform "Description", "Responsible" and "Conclusion" to add it. Note that when adding a milestone, it is possible to enter a "Weight" for it. This "Weight" value is also related to the "Calculation (Calculation article in this word)" of the entry of values to the indicator.
Important note: After adding the milestones, it is necessary to select the option "Create milestones". If the window is closed or the "Cancel" Option is selected, the milestones added in the list will not be created.
Indicator properties
With the indicator created, it is possible to access its properties and define some options similar to other indicators, but here we will emphasize two that are unique to the schedule indicator.
The first is the Consider Milestones not completed option. Through it, it is possible to define whether or not the calculation of the indicator's score should consider the weights of its unfinished milestones.
The second option is the Score Range. Even after creating the indicator, the score range can be changed in properties.
Indicator details
In Indicator Details is where we find the previously created milestones. In addition to the list of milestones created, it is possible to add new milestones to the indicator, but individually.
Besides that, it is possible to use a filter in a similar way used in tasks.
With the milestones created, you can complete them. For that, click on the "Conclude" button of the desired milestone and then fill in the necessary information to complete it. Mandatory completion, it is necessary to inform the "Run date" and the "Comments and/or evidence" that detail the milestone's completion.
Possibility to add it in to the Results Program
As well as Quantitative and Qualitative indicators, it is possible to add a Schedule indicator within a Results Program panel. To do this, choose a results program, select a panel and click on the editing pencil.
In the new open window on the right, click on "add indicator", choose which schedule indicator you want to add in this panel and then enter a weight for the indicator.
For a better understanding of the calculation details and indicator log, read this article.
Observation:
- The Schedule KPI is copied WITHOUT its milestones at the time of copying the Management Plan;
