What is this feature for
The STRATWs’ Tolerance is an excellent feature to visual prioritization, giving a quick analysis about where the effort and Action Plans are necessary to achieve the Strategy Goals.
We’ve been thinking about the best user experience and now STRATWs can set the Scorecard’s Tolerance automatically. This calculation is made from the weighted average of Indicator’s Tolerance that compose each Objective (Strategic Scorecard) or Subprocess (Process Scorecard). The Tolerance found is used for every Scorecard’s level (Perspective, Objective or Subprocess)
Given a Strategic Scorecard configured as Performance Calculation, the Tolerance’s calculation of each range (Yellow, Green and Blue) is made from the weighted average of each Objective’s Indicators (Equation 1). So the relative Perspective’s Tolerance is calculated from the relative Tolerance of each Objective (Equation 2).
With the relative Tolerance of each Perspective, we can calculate the weighted average of each relative Perspective’s Tolerance to find the Scorecard’s Tolerance (Equation 3). The Tolerance calculation is made for each Performance Range (Yellow, Green and Blue).
