Talent Management
What is this feature for?
The multi-evaluator assessment (also known as 360-degree evaluation) is one of the most used tools by companies to manage their talents. They are used for several reasons, among them: to increase the accuracy of evaluations, to evaluate different perspectives on the behavior of the employee and to increase the participants' perception of justice in the performance evaluation process.
A multi-evaluator performance evaluation consists of evaluating the employee by a group of people, such as: Self-assessment, Peers, Manager and / or Subordinates.
Performance Evaluation with Multi-evaluators
In order to carry out a multi-evaluator Performance Evaluation, there must be an Performance Evaluation Cycle in progress and have multi-evaluators configured (to learn more, click here).
From the moment that the multi-evaluator cycle goes to the phase under evaluation, and is in the current period, the evaluations can already be carried out by the evaluators.
To do this, simply access the Individual Performance menu> Manage evaluation and choose the desired cycle.
When accessing the evaluation cycle, the system takes into account which relationships are applicable for the logged-in user, that is, there is a check to determine who can evaluate and, thus, display the evaluations that belong to the user.
In the example below, the logged-in user will evaluate all the relationships defined in the cycle: their manager, their peers, their subordinates and their self-assessment. In this way, the My evaluation, Peers, Subordinates, Manager and Self assessment tabs are presented.
To carry out an assessment, just follow the steps described below for each list of assessed.
Comments:
- The tabs of the evaluations to be carried out will always be displayed according to what was configured in the cycle, however the logged in user must be defined as an evaluator of these relationships in order to be able to view and perform all of them;
- If there has been a change in the names of the relations, these names will be shown in the tabs, replacing the names determined by default;
- If the logged-in user has no peers or has not been defined as a peer evaluator, the Peers tab will not be displayed;
- If the logged in user does not have subordinates, the Subordinates tab will not be displayed;
- If the logged in user does not have a defined manager or has not been defined as an appraiser of his manager, the Manager tab will not be displayed;
- If the logged-in user does not have a defined manager, the Self assessment tab will not be displayed because he will not be evaluated in the cycle in question, he will only exercise the role of an evaluator.
Evaluating peers
When accessing the Peers tab, the pairs that the logged user must evaluate will be displayed.
Click on the evaluation of each one of them and carry out the evaluation. After completing the evaluation form, click Conclude.
Comments:
- Peers who have been assessed will not know who assessed them, they will only be able to view the responses that have been assigned.
Evaluating subordinates
The Subordinate tab will only be displayed if the logged-in user is in charge of leadership, which is determined in the user registration. It is also necessary that you have subordinate users, that is, users for whom you have been defined as Immediate Leader.
To evaluate your subordinates, just access the respective tab and your subordinate users will be displayed.
Click on the evaluation of each one of them and carry out the evaluation. After completing the evaluation form, click Conclude.
Evaluating manager
When accessing the Manager tab, the manager's evaluation will be displayed for it to be carried out.
After completing the evaluation form, click Conclude.
Comments:
- Your manager will only be able to view the responses that were assigned by subordinates, without displaying the name of who assigned each response.
Self-assessment
Your self-assessment can be done through the My evaluation tab or through Self assessment. So, just access any of the two tabs and perform your own performance evaluation.
After completing the evaluation form, click Conclude.
Approval flow
The performance evaluation has two distinct approval flows and what defines which flow will be considered is the existence of the Self assessment in the cycle.
If the cycle has a Self assessment, it is the Manager of the evaluated user who approves it. The Manager will only be able to approve when all other relationships have already completed the assessments for the employee in question.
If the cycle does not have a Self assessment, the user who has been evaluated approves it. He will only be able to approve when all other relationships have already completed their appraisal.
Comparing assessment responses
When the assessment is in the Approval or Completed phase, the Comparation view will be available. Thus, the manager and the appraisee will be able to view the responses attributed by each appraisee relationship.
In this comparison, responses from Peers and Subordinates are grouped, displaying only the number of people who assigned each response.
