Talent Management
What is feature for?
The multi-evaluator assessment (also known as 360-degree evaluation) is one of the most used tools by companies to manage their talents. They are used for several reasons, among them: to increase the accuracy of evaluations, to evaluate different perspectives on the behavior of the employee and to increase the participants' perception of justice in the performance evaluation process.
A multi-evaluator performance evaluation consists of evaluating the employee by a group of people, such as: Self-assessment, Peers, Manager and / or Subordinates.
This feature allows you to register an evaluation cycle that is multi-evaluator.
Defining Multi-evaluators in an Evaluation Cycle
To register or edit an Evaluation Cycle, it is necessary to have an Administrator or Super-user profile.
After registering an Evaluation Cycle, the option Configure evaluators will be available.
When you click Configure evaluators, the evaluator selection screen will be displayed, containing the following options:
- Enable evaluation by manager;
- Enable evaluation by peers;
- Enable evaluation by subordinates;
- Enable self-assessment;
- Edit relationship name.
Enable evaluation by manager
This option is already checked by default and can't be changed, as managers will always evaluate their subordinates in a cycle. Managers are the users defined as Immediate Leader, present in the Professional tab of the user register.
Enable evaluation by peers
This option enables the evaluation by the peers of the employee. Peers are users who have the same "Immediate Leader".
Defining limits of peer reviewers
It is possible to define a minimum limit and/or maximum limit of peer evaluators for the cycle, which can help in cases where there is a greater number of peers than what is desired for the evaluation of employees.
To define the minimum and/or maximum limit, just enter the desired quantity in the respective fields: Minimum and Maximum.
Comments:
- When the number of peers of the employee is less than the defined minimum limit, he will not have an evaluation carried out by peers in this cycle;
- When the number of pairs of the evaluated is greater than the defined maximum limit, the system will determine at random who will be the evaluating pairs;
- If a value is not defined for the fields, all pairs will be considered to carry out the evaluation.
Enable evaluation by subordinates
This option enables the appraisal by the subordinates of an employee. The subordinates are the users who have the evaluated employee defined as their Manager (Immediate Leader).
Defining limits of subordinate appraisers
It is possible to define a minimum limit and/or maximum limit of subordinate evaluators for the cycle, which can help in cases where there is a greater number of subordinates than the desired for the evaluation of managers.
To define the minimum and/or maximum limit, just enter the desired quantity in the respective fields: Minimum and Maximum.
Comments:
- When the number of subordinates of the user is less than the defined minimum limit, he will not have an evaluation carried out by subordinates in this cycle;
- When the number of subordinates of the employee is greater than the defined maximum limit, the system will determine at random who will be the evaluating subordinates;
- If a value is not defined for the fields, all subordinates will be considered to carry out the evaluation.
Enable self-assessment
This option allows the employee to also carry out their own evaluation.
Editing relationship names
This option allows you to change the names used for the relationships of evaluators in the cycle. The default names are: Manager, Peers, Self assessment and Subordinates.
To change, just click on the option Edit relationship name, insert the new terms that will be used and save.
Comments:
- When changing the names of the relationships, all cycles that are registered from this change will use these names;
- The previously created cycles will not be impacted.
After enabling the desired evaluations and editing the names of the relationships, just Save and the cycle will have defined multi-evaluators.
Now, just perform the other configurations of the Evaluation Cycle (to learn more, click here).
